Simple Skin Routine for Busy Moms

Taking care of your skin and finding time to get into a routine can seem time consuming, but it does not have to cost a ton of money or take a ton of time. When it comes to self-care for mom, almost everything outside of brushing your teeth feels like a luxury when you have kiddos to get ready for their day.

But the thing to remember is being consistent. It’s also important to remember that your skin is important, so resist the temptation to compromise on your daily skin care. Make the commitment, because preventative skin care maintenance is so much easier than trying to fix skin issues that may be a result of neglecting your skin.

Check out this 5-Minute Morning Routine!!

There are times that you may be so rushed that you may only have time to brush your teeth, and splash a little water on your face, before getting the kids out of the door. Part of having a successful morning routine means being prepared. For everything in the a.m. to go smoothly you will want to do a few things the night before. This will ensure that you  have the products that you need when you first wake up to a fresh start and are not left to scrambling for what’s next.

Putting a five-minute skin care regimen in place for the morning will be a bit more manageable, and easy to continue day-to-day.

According to the American Academy of Dermatology, washing your face twice a day is important and recommended. Throughout the day and night, excess oils, dirt, and impurities build up on your skin. Removing them will help prevent clogged pores and breakouts. Our Black Honey Facial Cleanser will work to balance all skin types.

  • Use a facial cleanser best suited for your skin type.
  • Wet your face and hands with lukewarm water.
  • Work a small amount of facial cleanser into a foamy lather.
  • Massage it onto your face with gentle, circular motions.
  • Rinse with lukewarm water.

Moisturizer boosts hydration in your skin, creating a protective layer of moisture that lasts throughout the day. Properly hydrated skin is softer, more elastic, and slows down the aging process. Try the Aloe Papaya Moringa Oil Facial Moisturizer. It keeps your skin soft and in perfect balance with our 100% Plant-based moisturizer. Made with Papaya Seed oil and Moringa oils to keep skin hydrated, but never oily!

Today, many moisturizers include sunscreen, so step 4 and 5 are the same.  If your moisturizer does not, you will need to apply a sunscreen designed specifically for your face.

How about this Easy Night-time Routine??

Nigh-time skincare can seem like a hassle, especially when you are ready to get some peace and rest. No matter how busy you may be, you should never skip your night-time skin care regimen. Throughout the day your skin collects dirt and debris from the outside elements. Your skin may also produce excess oils that can potentially clog pores if you do not regularly practice skin care maintenance. It's a must do.

Step 1: CLEANSE – You should never, ever go to bed without washing your face. At night when you sleep your skin’s sebaceous glands are producing oil.

STEP 2: EXFOLIATE – Exfoliation is the removal of dry dead skin cells from the surface of your skin. When you exfoliate on a regular basis (1-2 times a week), your pores size will decrease, and your skin will be smoother with a healthy glow.

STEP 3: MOISTURIZE  – Your final step in your night-time skincare routine is always to use a great moisturizer.

A night-time skin care can routine cost you anywhere from fifteen to twenty minutes of your time each night. Which is so well worth it when it comes to having healthy skin. And once this has become a part of your daily regimen, time will not be a total factor, because you will be amazed and highly pleased with the results.
