We have turned forward our clocks and gotten an extra hour of daylight, which means spring and summer temperatures are in affect.  Once the weather changes, it's important to take your skincare routine to task and put your best face forward for the warmer months. Switch to a Water-Based Cleanser

During summer, we typically sweat more, which opens our pores.

This is great for skin detoxification if you’re washing your face immediately. If not, you could inadvertently be allowing for more dirt and grime build up, which can lead to pimples. Sun exposure and sunscreen also play a role in acne flare-ups over the summer. Regular cleansing is vital in preventing and minimizing these skin troubles.

Typically, we’re huge fans of oil cleansers. They are the cleanest and safest products as they require no preservation system, and they work well for makeup removal and simultaneous hydration support. But for summer, we suggest switching to a water-based cleanser instead. Cleansers like gels or foams help control oil production that could increase with the summer’s heat. So, we suggest saving the oil cleansing for those heavy, makeup-filled nights!

Exfoliate with a Peel
Using a scrub to rejuvenate your complexion can seem like a great idea, but more often than not, grainy scrubs can leave your skin tight, dry and riddled with micro tears in the pores that cause premature aging. Up Your Toner Game
