Breakout Season: Why Fall Breakouts are the Most Common

Finally, we’re in the swing of the Fall season. We know you’ve been excited to pull out those comfy sweaters, thick socks, and your favorite pair of booties. Seems like forever since you had some warm Apple Cider and Hot Chocolate. The leaves on the trees are turning burnt orange and yellow, everything looks so serene. Thank God for Fall. Then you go to look in the mirror and…. WHAT IS THAT ON YOUR FACE?! Oh, just a little seasonal acne, no big deal. Never heard of seasonal acne breakouts? Allow us to dig a little deeper into the situation and explain exactly what this is.

WHAT ARE SEASONAL BREAKOUTS/ACNE?

-Seasonal Breakouts are the periods where your skin and Mother nature are in sync, and not for the better. During our transition in the cooler Fall/Winter months, our skin begins to change. If you’re not quick about shifting your skincare you could be asking for a breakout.

 

 

WHY DOES THIS HAPPEN?

-The air is drier causing your skin to follow suit. When your skin dries out, it leaves behind dead layers of skin that need to be removed.
