Aside from skin and hair benefits, peppermint oil has health benefits as well. You don’t necessarily have to head to your local pharmacy to get relief. This essential oil can help tackle common health issues, such as headaches and gastrointestinal issues.

Most of us are used to taking painkillers when a headache occurs, but next time you’re looking to relieve your pain, it might be worth trying peppermint oil first.

Use it in the following ways:

  • Place a few drops of peppermint oil on a tissue and inhale into the tissue.
  • Run a hot bath and apply a few drops in the bath water.
  • Wet a towel in cold water and add a few drops and apply it to your forehead.
