Women in their late 20s and early 30s may start to notice that some of their friends are showing signs of premature aging. This usually results in them looking in the mirror more often to determine if their faces and skin are afflicted with the same issues. It's not too late to prevent premature aging if you start following a natural skin care routine that helps delay the aging process.
Almost everyone has heard that drinking lots of water is beneficial for your body, but it is also a beauty secret that must not be ignored. If your body is dehydrated, your skin will be dry. It will also make any fine lines and wrinkles look more noticeable. You don't have to sweat profusely from a workout in order for your body to lose water. This occurs naturally through urination, having a bowel movement, evaporation of moisture from the skin and even breathing. If you find plain water distasteful, you can replace this fluid by drinking other beverages and eating foods high in water content, such as fruits and vegetables.
Certain bad habits can bring about signs of aging prematurely. These detrimental habits include smoking cigarettes, overindulging in alcohol and being stressed on a regular basis. Smoking causes wrinkles because it narrows the blood vessels that are in the upper layers of the skin. This reduces the circulation that allows your skin to be healthy. Too much alcohol dehydrates the body and the skin. Constant stress causes the body to release hormones, such as cortisol, that break down the tissues in your body, and this eventually causes your skin to wrinkle. Once you conquer these bad habits, your skin can start repairing itself. The sooner you make these positive lifestyle changes, the less chance you'll have of suffering from the signs of premature aging.
Exercise increases the circulation in your body. This benefits your skin by providing it with oxygen and other nutrients needed to keep your skin healthy and glowing. Healthy skin is less prone to have wrinkles, age spots and other signs of premature aging. You may hate to exercise, but you don't have to go to a gym to become physically fit. Enroll in a fun dance class, or take up rollerblading or cycling to tone your muscles. Put your baby in a stroller or your dog on a leash, and walk to the park. Any activity that gets your body up and moving is exercise and will be beneficial not only to your body but to your skin as well.
