2-Ingredient Face Masks That Won't Break The Bank!

Need a quick facial fix without spending a lot of coins?

Try these quickie face masks to get your facial life! 

 

1.    Milk + Tomato Juice

What It Does: The antioxidant property of Tomato helps in cleaning, moisturizing and nourishing our skin, on the other hand, milk helps in softening our skin.

What You Need: Milk Powder + 1 Fresh Tomato

How To Make It: Mash the tomato until it’s pretty mushy, then blend the freshly mashed tomato with enough milk powder to make it look like a paste.

How To Use It: Wash your face to rid your skin of dirt and bacteria. Apply mixture to your face for 10-15 minutes. After 10 to 15 minutes, wash the mask off with tepid water. Dry your skin and apply a good moisturizer. Use 1-2 times per week for best results.

 

2.    Aloe Vera + Turmeric

What It Does: The anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and antioxidant properties present in turmeric heal acne effectively. It also helps in removing and preventing accumulation of excess oil. When turmeric is mixed with aloe vera, it makes a perfect mask for acne.

What You Need: 1 tsp. Fresh Aloe Vera gel + ½ tsp. Turmeric powder

How To Make It: Combine ingredients and mix well until smooth

How To Use It: Wash your face to rid your skin of dirt and bacteria. Apply mixture to your face for 20 minutes. Wash mask off with tepid water. Dry your skin and apply a good moisturizer. Repeat this 2 times per week for best results. 

3.    Yogurt + Honey

Yogurt and Honey Easy DIY Face Mask- The Butter Bar Skincare

What It Does: The yogurt contains lactic acid which gently exfoliates dead skin cells and brightens the complexion. It also contains probiotics, so it’s great for healing blemishes. The honey naturally hydrates the skin and is rich in antioxidants and has antimicrobial properties which can help acne.

What You Need: 1 Tbs. Plain Yogurt (I prefer Greek yogurt) + 1 tsp. Raw honey (Try to get the unfiltered kind)

How To Make It: Combine ingredients in a cup or bowl and mix well until smooth.

How To Use It: Wash your face to rid your skin of dirt and bacteria. Slather this yummy mixture on your face and leave on for 7-10 minutes. (it may tingle due to the lactic acid in the yogurt) Wash mask off with tepid water. Dry your skin and apply a good moisturizer. Repeat this up to 3 times per week for best results.

4.    Rosewater + Aloe (Overnight Mask)

Rosewater and Aloe Easy DIY Face Mask- The Butter Bar Skincare

What It Does: The rose water will regenerate skin cells, and the aloe gel will replace any lost moisture without making the skin look too oily.

What You Need: 1 Tbs. Rose Water + 1 Tbs. Fresh Aloe Vera gel

How To Make It: Combine ingredients in a cup or bowl and mix well until smooth.

How To Use It: Wash your face to rid your skin of dirt and bacteria. Rub mixture onto your face and go to bed. Wash mask off with tepid water in the morning and follow with your regular daily skin care routine. Repeat this up to 3 times per week for best results.

  • Thanks for these tips. I need a good mask. For the Aloe Vera, do you recommend using a plant or is there a bottle form you can recommend?
